Four people aged between 19 and 37 drowned in a ground-sea-swell near the Silistar camping site, near the town of Tsarevo, on August 2.

Civil Protection services found two of the bodies on August 2 and the other two one day later, the service announced.

Dnevnik daily reported that Civil Protection received a tip-off about a girl, who had slipped at the rocks near the camping site and fell in the sea around 3pm on August 2. The three men, who were accompanying the girl, were said to have jumped after her in the sea and all four had disappeared in the water.

According to Civil Protection, there were whirlpools and ground-sea-swells in the area. Baywatch service in Bourgas said that there had been a ground-sea-swell for nearly 10 days and accidents had happened on daily basis, but without victims, until the one on August 2.

The remains of the victims would be transported to the town of Troyan in Northern Bulgaria, where they used to live, on August 4, and Troyan city hall would declare the day a day of mourning, Dnevnik said.
