18:42 Thu 31 May 2007

Economy and Energy Minister Roumen Ovcharov and head of the National Investigative Service Angel Alexandrov will be investigated for unauthorised decisions in an investigation.

Prosecutor Ivanka Trifonova announced the results of the Ovcharov- Alexandrov controversy investigation on May 31. The controversy focuses on the investigation of shady activities in Sofia’s central heating provider Toplofikatsia.

Two more people will be investigated in connection to the Toplofikatsia case.

These people are former Toplofikatsia investigator Tatyana Sharlandzhieva and former deputy economy and energy minister Kornelia Ninova.

Also on May 31 Sofia City Prosecution said that it lacked enough evidence that Ovcharov threatened Alexandrov in connection to the Toplofikatsia investigation.
