The decision of court to deny party registration rights to OMO Ilinden formation is political, head of the formation Stoyko Stoykov said.
On February 20 the Supreme Court of Cassation confirmed the decision of Sofia City Court to deny OMO Ilinden the right to register as party due to failure to meet registration criteria.
OMO Ilinden will take the issue to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, Stoykov said. Bulgaria is about to lose yet another trial, he said as quoted by Focus news agency.
All Bulgarian courts shared similar attitude towards OMO Ilinden, Stoykov said. Their rulings expressed discrimination and showed that courts were not independent yet, he said.
Head of the National Museum of History Bozhidar Dimitrov said that the decision demonstrated that Bulgarian court functioned properly.
OMO Ilinden committed serious administrative violations while applying for registration, said Dimitrov.
Previously media reported that OMO Ilinden got involved in signature-buying, in order to collect the signatures needed to apply for party registration.
