Twenty-year-old foreign national H. H. was arrested two times in less than 48 hours in Slantchev Bryag Black Sea resort, private broadcaster Nova TV said on May 29 2008.
The first time H. was arrested was on May 28 after he was caught stealing food and alcohol from local restaurants.
H. came to the resort as a tourist and allegedly ran out of money and started stealing. He was detained for 24 hours. Hours after he was set free he was caught walking with clothes off on one of the resort's alleys.
He was again detained in the local police station where according to Nessebar police he started acting wildly.
H. damaged some of the bars at the cell and when police officers bought him a pizza he used it as a toilet. "The police station was turned into a toilet, pardon my expression," a police officer was quoted as saying by Nova TV.
Police investigation showed that H. had two passports; an Irish and a US. "We have called the Irish embassy and we are waiting for them to come and collect him and put him on a flight to Ireland," a police officer told Nova TV.
The maximum fine H. can get is 300 leva.
The Sofia Echo contacted the Irish embassy who refused to comment on the issue.
