The international film festival for short film Filmini will be opened in Sofia at 19.00 on October 17 2007.

The festival opens a programme of films from the International competition, including Spanish Mi Tio Paco (My Uncle Paco), Mexican El Leche y El Agua (Milk and Water) and the Hungarian Tripe and Onions.

The films compete for awards in several categories such as best international, best Balkan, best Bulgarian film and audience award.

An international jury will be judging the films. The prize winners will receive an award statue and 1000 euro.

The event takes place in Dom na Kinoto until October 21 2007.
