
World ice-skating champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski put on an extraordinary gala show this past weekend.
Together with violin master Vasko Vasilev, the show also featured world famous stars such as Russian sport duo Maria Petrova and Alexey Tihonov, who took silver at the most recent European championship in Poland, Italian dancers Federica Faiella and Massimo Scali, Ukraine acrobatic couple Valerij Mitkin and Victoria Tishler, as well as French skaters Lorient Tobel and Stanik Janet.
Also showing off their moves were Bulgarian figure skaters Hristina Vasileva, Naiden Borichev and the next Albena and Maxim dance couple, Ina Demireva and Urij Kurakin, as well as the young girls from the Denkova Staviski skating club.
Denkova and Staviski performed to the accompaniment of Vasilev, who learned to ice skate so that he could take part in the show.
The couple performed their signature routine, The Seven Deadly Sins and also special dance created for the Emil Dimitrov song, Ako si dal.
At the end of the show, flowers were presented on behalf of President Georgi Purvanov, Minister of Defence Veselin Bliznakov, Minister of Labour and Social Policy Emiliya Maslarova and Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov.
