Tottenham’s striker from Bulgaria Dimitar Berbatov was not included in the FIFA list of 30 nominees for the best football player for 2007.
Other footballers, who expected to be included in the list, such as Francesco Totti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, were also overlooked, Focus news agency reported.
Instead the list contained players like Philip Lahm, Mirosval Klose and Lilian Thuram, who showed unimpressive results, Focus said.
Seven of the footballers in the list play for Spanish Barcelona, five play for UK’s Chelsea, four for Italia’s Milan.
Berbatov had a very strong season 2006/2007, scoring 20 goals, Focus said.
