Several Bulgarian fans may have the chance to meet the legendary Deep Purple in person during their visit to Bulgaria.

The band’s concert will be held in Sofia’s Zala Festivalna on November 1 2007. It will commemorate the first anniversary of local Z-Rock Radio, avtora.com said. The concert is part of Deep Purple's Rapture of the Deep World Tour.

Z-Rock programme director Spas Shouroulinkov said that the radio was currently negotiating with Deep Purple’s manager for a possible meeting between fans and the band.

Currently, the concert is planned without warm-up bands, but the organisers had negotiated for “special surprises” for Deep Purple’s fans in Bulgaria, avtora.com said.

Z-Rock representatives said that they hoped the band would include something special in its concert because of the radio’s anniversary, but it was “too early to say”.
