Austrian company EVN planed to invest in waste recycling, gas distribution, water services and the building of power stations in Bulgaria, chair of EVN Bulgaria’s board Stefan Szyszkowitz said as quoted by derstandard.at.
EVN already acquired electricity distribution companies in Bulgaria’s Plovdiv and Stara Zagora.
The company considered the building of waste recycling factories in these two cities, Szyszkowitz said.
EVN failed to receive license for gas distribution in Bulgaria but was still willing to join Bulgaria’s gas market, he said. The company would take part in a tender for gas distribution in Bansko and some of the coastal towns, Szyszkowitz said.
The company also wanted to acquire the Plovdiv and Rousse regional heating companies, the report said.
