Electricity distribution company EVN Bulgaria will take additional counts of the electrometers of its clients between July 1 and 8, 2007.
The additional inspection is related to new electricity prices, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
The measure will affect 50 per cent of the company's whose electrometers were checked between July 8 and 31. Those clients will receive two invoices for one accounting period.
EVN Bulgaria currently distributes electricity in southeastern Bulgaria. The company demanded from the State Energy and Water Regulation Commission (SEWRC) a price increase of 6.24 per cent corresponding to the inflation rate.
After the changes, the final daily price for household consumers is expected to reach 15.4 leva per megawatt hours and 9.79 leva per megawatt hour during the night.
