The European Commission (EC) will present its progress report on judiciary reform and the fight against organised crime and corruption in Romania and Bulgaria on February 4 2007, daily Dnevnik reported.
The commission plans to publish the report on Bulgaria and Romania at noon on Monday, EC spokesperson Marc Gray said, as quoted by Dnevnik.
Gray stressed out the co-operation of the two governments and will record the progress made by the two countries, but also stress out the areas where more needs to be done.
He dismissed the media reports that claimed in recent days that the EC would trigger the safeguard clauses relating to judiciary reform as "speculation", Dnevnik reported.
