In one year, European ombudsman Nikiforos Diamandouros received five grievances from Bulgarians and foreigners concerning poor administrative services in the country.
Grievances target both state and municipal institutions.
Diamandouros informed Bulgarian ombudsman Ginio Ganev of the five signals.
Two of the grievances, submitted by foreign citizens, involve the work of the judiciary and the customs agency.
The activity of Bulgarian institutions is outside the authority of the European ombudsman. As a result, Diamandouros advised people to turn to Ganev.
European ombudsman investigates administrative grievances only if European institutions are involved.
