15:07 Mon 11 Jun 2007

To facilitate the access of tourists to healthcare services, Bulgaria’s coastal resorts will have 16 new emergency aid units.

These units will be divisions of the hospitals in Dobrich, Varna and Bourgas.

Health Ministry has set up the emergency centres to meet its obligation to provide tourists from EU member countries with medical aid.

Each centre has to meet various criteria, among which 24 hour work and the constant availability of medical specialists.

Kavarna, Balchik, Albena, Nessebar, Sozopol, Primorsko, Sunny Beach and Tsarevo will all have emergency aid units.
