
The biggest ‘catalyst’ in the relations between Bulgaria and Sweden would be the co-operation in education, science and culture, President Georgi Purvanov said.
Purvanov was on a three-day visit to Sweden between October 9 and 11 2007.
Bulgaria’s President visited the university in the historic town of Uppsala, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
Uppsala University provost Anders Hallberg said that Bulgarian language was being toughed in the university for nearly 100 years.
Purvanov awarded a Swedish student who won an essay contest dedicated to Bulgarian revolutionary Vassil Levski.
