Representatives of eco organisations in Bulgaria stage for a consecutive week a protest in front of the Council of Ministers building in Sofia.
Environmentalists are dissatisfied with Cabinet plan for the inclusion of territories in the European environmental network Natura 2000.
Cabinet decided to postpone its decision on some of the controversial areas, located close to seaside and mountain resorts. Bulgaria submitted to European Commission an initial, limited list of terrains and a decision on the other areas is still expected.
Each week environmentalists stage symbolic protests.
On June 14, they used green umbrellas which were symbolically opened to protect the areas that have not been included in the list yet.
Investor interests evidently had their lobby and were taken into consideration when decisions were made, environmentalists said.
