The European Commission (EC) September 26 monitoring report on Bulgaria and Romania's EU entry readiness and the ratification of the two countries' accession treaties were formally unrelated but everyone knew that the report would affect the ratification process, European Integration Minister Meglena Kouneva said.
Kouneva said that she hoped the EC report was positive enough to stimulate EU countries to end the ratification of Bulgaria's accession treaty.
France would complete the ratification procedure on October 3 2006, Kouneva said as quoted by Focus news agency.
Kouneva also said that the Danish parliament would vote on first reading Bulgaria's EU accession treaty between October 10 and October 14.
Germany would probably be the last country to ratify the treaty, Kouneva said.
