Low-cost airliner EasyJet was to launch daily flights between Sofia and London on January 22 2008, the company announced.
The planes would land at Gatwick airport in London, investor.bg said.
EasyJet decided to increase the frequency of the flights to daily, only a month after the company launched the destination on November 6 2007.
The decision was the result of interest in the flights, both in Bulgaria and the UK, the company said.
According to the new timetable, the flights from Sofia would be at 12.35am on Mondays and Fridays, at 1.35pm on Wednesdays, and in the weekend and at 9.15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In the other direction the flights would be at 6.40am on Mondays and Fridays, at 7.50am on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and at 3.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Currently, EasyJet flies three times a week to between Sofia and London.
