A light tremor was registered in Sofia at 3.43 pm today.
Residents of several districts felt the earthquake. Its magnitude is 3.7 on the Richter scale, according to Bulgarian Academy of Sciences information.
The epicentre of the earthquake is located in the Vitosha Mountain region, southeast of Mladost district. Residents of Mladost, Durvenitsa, Slatina and the central part of Sofia felt the tremor, Focus news agency reported.
Representatives of the State Agency for Civil Protection said the earthquake failed to produce damages or casualties.
Teams of the agency will inspect further the affected districts, Darik radio reported.
