EARTHQUAKE IN BULGARIA CAUSES DAMAGE

Sega newspaper presents an account of the damages caused by the Tuesday earthquake in the Kurdjali region. Damages will cost 22 000 leva, according to the State Agency for Civil Defence.
 
Agency teams will supply people in the affected villages with materials for the repair of their houses. The earthquake with magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale caused cracks along walls and collapsed chimneys.

More serious damages will be evaluated additionally. A committee for the allocation of aid has already been created.

Sega data shows the tremors damaged 175 constructions. Most of them are located in Murgovo village in the Kurjali region. In addition 16 schools and kindergartens experienced some degree of damage.

None of the houses in Murgovo have an insurance against natural disasters.

Additional tremors were registered in the region yesterday. The magnitude varied from 2.7 to 3.1 on the Richter scale.
