The “Joseph Conrad. Twixt Land and Sea” documentary exhibition, arranged by The Adam Mickiewicz Museum of Literature in Warsaw to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Joseph Conrad's (1857-1924) birth, would open on December 5 at 6pm at Sofia City Library, organisers from the Polish Institute in Sofia announced, as reported by Bulgarian News Agency BTA.
“A Journey with Conrad. The Artist as a Sea Farer” is the name of a talk on the writer's work that Margreta Grigorova, a history of Polish literature lecturer at the Veliko Turnovo University, will deliver.
The programme would include piano performances by Anelia Gospodinova as well, BTA said.
Joseph Conrad, born Józef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski, was an English writer of Polish origin, publicist, sea farer, merchant fleet captain and traveller. He was considered one of the greatest English literature stylists, BTA reminded.
