The Thracians lived on the territory of present-day Bulgaria from about 1300 to 500 BC. Numerous extremely precious Thracian findings, including treasures, tombs and temples, have been found in the past several years in the country.

The film on Perperikon would be the first one that Discovery shoots in Bulgaria, Dnevnik reported.

The film describes the history of the Thracians. The Discovery team planed to shoot all the famous Thracian remains including Perpericon, Tatul and the Valley of Thracian kings, Dnevnik said.

The film would be one-hour long, Dnevnik said. It should be finished by the end of 2007. It would be shown first to British and American audience and would be broadcast worldwide.
