Culture Minister Stefan Danailov met Bellwether Media creative director Malcolm Neaum to discuss a project on the Thracian civilization.
Discovery Channel and British television company Channel Five UK plan to shoot a documentary in Bulgaria on the Thracian culture in the context of contemporary Bulgaria.
The production will have two parts, each lasting 60 minutes.
Neaum said that the documentary could turn into a television event worldwide. This film will show the importance of the Thracian civilization for humankind and will present Bulgaria as a country with unique cultural heritage.
Danailov said that the Culture Ministry fully supported the project.
In September 2006 Discovery shot a film about the ancient Thracian palace of Perperikon. This was the first Discovery project to be shot in the country.
