The amount of direct foreign investments to Bulgaria over the past three years reached 44.5 billion euro, Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin said on October 30 2007.
In 2008, 4.7 billion euro of direct foreign investments were expected, he said as quoted by Bulgarian news agency BTA.
The amount was included in the budget 2008 preparation.
Kalfin clarified that the figures referred to direct foreign investments, which did not include Bulgarian co-funding.
Bulgaria could use another nearly seven billion euro from the European funds under various operative programmes over the next seven years, he said.
