Diplomat Dimitri Stancioff donated a third Bulgarian Kingdom Collection to the National History Museum in Sofia on July 4.
The donation includes 300 pieces worth nearly 200 000 leva, and was made possible by Ivan Stancioff, Dimitri Stancioff's grandson, third-generation diplomat Ivan Stancioff former foreign minister and ambassador to London
The exhibition highlights the history of the family over two centuries. It includes textiles, wedding dresses, jewels, photos and documents that trace the history of the family, according to BTA Bulgarian news agency.
Originally from Berat, Albania, the family moved to the Bulgarian town of Svishtov where Dimitri Stancioff was born on May 9, 1864.
As a diplomat he spent time in Bucharest, Vienna and St Petersburg before serving as foreign minister and as prime minister after Dimitar Petkov's assassination in 1907.
