On November 16 Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Dimitar Peichev would travel to Rome for the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations FAO Conference, Focus News Agency reported as announced by the Agriculture and Food Ministry press office.

The 34th Conference would take place from November 17 to November 24. The Bulgarian delegation, headed by Peichev, would include representatives of the Agriculture and Food Ministry and the Foreign Ministry.

FAO's Programme of Work and Budget 2008-2009 and its activities in between the 33rd and 34th session would be some of the topics discussed, Focus News Agency said.

Expectations were that new associate FAO member states, new FAO Council member states and a new Independent Chairman of FAO Council would be elected.

The delegation heads would deliver short speeches on the agriculture and food condition in their states.
