Two deputy ministers in Bulgaria decided to resign the same day.
Deputy Justice Minister Ana Karaivanova and Deputy Culture Minister Ina Kileva submitted their resignations to Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev, Novinar newspaper reported.
Karaivanova, member of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) said that she is leaving because of regulations that have been postponed over one year already.
National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP) member Kileva said that her reasons to leave office were personal.
Novinar reported that Karaivanova was responsible for an agency which had to take care of the trade register but allegedly got involved in corruption schemes. The parliaments anti-corruption committee already questioned the agencys head and his deputy.
According to the anti-corruption committee, conflict of interest existed at the time the agency was set up.
