Bulgaria's Economy and Energy Ministry picked Deloitte Bulgaria as consultant to set up the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), the ministry said in a statement on June 26.

BEH is the mega-holding to comprise Bulgaria's largest state-run energy assets, according to a project sponsored by the Government. Deloitte won against competition from Bulbrokers Consulting and Euroaudit BX in the public tender.

Euroaudit BX failed to make it through the second round of the procedure, which took place on June 13 and entailed the opening of the price offers. The company's paperwork was deemed incomplete and not compliant with the tender requiements.

As previously reported by The Sofia Echo, the ministry had put 20 per cent on the price criterion and 80 per cent for the offer's technical parameters.

Deloitte Bulgaria scored 95.64 points with a price offer of 0.736 million leva, VAT excluded. Bulbrokers Consulting earned 90.54 points and requested a 0.725 million, VAT excluded, fee.
