DAYS OF BULGARIAN CULTURE IN ROME
08:00 Tue 28 Feb 2006

The days of Bulgarian culture were opened in Rome’s La Palma club. The event occurs with the aid of Vice-President Angel Marin, Culture Minister Stefan Danailov and the Bulgarian embassy in Italy.

Marin, Sofia Mayor Boiko Borissov and Deputy Culture Minister Ivan Tokadjiev attended the opening ceremony, the Bulgarian National Radio reported. The event ended with the presentation of Andrei Batashov’s play Rhythm.

Various events would occur as a part of the festivals’ schedule. Ivo Papazov would perform together with his orchestra. Teodosii Spasov’s trio would also take part in the celebrations. The days of Bulgarian culture would end on March 1 with a literary night.

Another upcoming event is the opening of the Bulgarian culture and information centre in Rome. The days of Bulgarian culture would be used as an occasion to collect aid for the recovery of the centre building, which would cost nearly 220 000 euro.
