COURTS STARA ZAGORA, VELIKO TURNOVO ORDER RECOUNTS OF VOTES

Тhe Administrative Court in Stara Zagora ordered a second manual recount of ballots for municipal council elections of the town of Stara Zagora, as demanded by plaintiffs Novoto Vreme, Ataka, Bulgarian Socialist Party and PD Socialdemocrati.

The recount of both valid and invalid ballots would be done by three experts in the presence of the court and parties in the case on November 19.

Citizen Registration and Administrative Services agency was still performing checks at two places, Focus News Agency said.

For councillors, 57 004 votes had been casted, of which 51 783 had been deemed valid and 5 206 invalid.

In a separate court case, the Administrative Court in Veliko Turnovo ordered a manual recount of the ballots for all 56 election sections in the municipality of Svishtov, Bulgarian News Agency BTA said.

Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) had filed a complaint and demanded the annulment of the results of municipal elections for the municipality, Dnevnik daily said.
