The Varna Regional Court decided to permit the release on bail of a man accused of child trafficking.

Court turned down requests of the regional prosecution for the imprisonment of the defendant. The bail sum totals 1000 leva, Focus news agency reported.

The man was charged with child trafficking, drug distribution and theft in Italy, Focus reported.

Court in Bulgaria was unable to determine the guilt of the man. Its decision could be revised by another institution in a three-day term.

On June 23 2006 the Varna Regional Court decided to keep the man detained based on an Italian request.

Since the Italian authorities failed submitting all extradition documents in the needed time period the man was released, Focus reported.

A day ago the Justice Ministry received request for the extradition of the man. The request was presented in court on August 8. In a seven-day term the court would schedule a sitting during which to consider the Italian request.
