Representatives of the Bulgarian tourism sector worry about negative developments affecting their business, Russkaia Gazeta reported.
It seems the Bulgarian tourism sector is developing well, the publication wrote. For the first 11 months of 2005 the income of tourism agencies reached 1.06 billion leva, an 11 per cent increase compared to the entire 2004.
Still, the number of foreign tourists visiting the country in 2005 compared to 2004 has increased by mere two per cent.
These negative tendencies result from negative developments, including the construction boom along the Black Sea coastline and in mountain resorts, the publication reported.
Representatives of the Bulgarian Association of Travel Agents (BATA) said urgent administrative measures are needed to regulate construction works on the territory of resorts, Russkaia Gazeta reported.
