Terrains in the wild coastal region Irakli were offered for sale on the websites of various property companies, inspection of mediapool.bg reported.

Houses in vacation complexes were offered for sale on the web. Ads present buildings in close proximity to the beach in some of the last wild Black Sea coastal areas.

Over the weekend thousands of Bulgarians signed a petition in favour of protective measures and limited construction in the Irakli region.

More than 6000 people have already signed the petition, organisers of the protest said. It aims at protecting Irakli and eight other coastal areas from over-construction.

On June 30 the Nessebar municipality is expected to take a decision concerning construction works in the wild coastal areas.
