Sofia city hall issued a media statement on October 6, accusing construction company Sida-S EOOD of forging the signature of Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov under a contract for the sale of a land plot.
The land plot, 1.4ha in size, was in the Strelbishte neigborhood, between the streets Dobri Hristov, Tvurdiski Prohod, Tultzha and Trayanovi Vrata.
According to the city's master plan, the plot was designated for the construction of office and residential buildings.
The Sofia Prosecutor's Office had been informed of the forged signature, the media statement said.
Approached for comment by The Sofia Echo, Sida-S manager Drashkov said he did not know about the case. Refusing further comment, Drashkov said "I don't know what this foolishness is."
