Constitution Court chair Nedelcho Beronov said that an initiative committee was going to support his nomination for the upcoming presidential elections.
Rightist party Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) decided to nominate Beronov as the common rightist presidential candidate. Since he failed receiving the support of all rightist parties Beronov was going to run with the support of an initiative committee, mediapoool.bg reported.
It was too late to negotiate the nomination further and consolidate the right political spectrum, Beronov said.
So far Beronov received the support of four parties among which DSB, Union of Democratic Forces (UDF), Union of the Free Democrats (UFD) and the Democratic Party.
Gergiovden movement, as well as the Agrarian People’s Union were still hesitant, medipool.bg reported.
On Monday August 7 the parties that supported Beronov would meet to discuss his election campaign.
