12:32 Mon 21 Jul 2008 - Magdalena Rahn

A number of Sofia's streets will soon be a bit cleaner, at least until the next round of Saturday night partying leaves its marks, under the capital city's street washing initiative that is currently being carried out.

On July 21, the streets between Vitosha and Patriarh Evtimii boulevards and Solounska and Angel Kunchev streets (excluding Solounska Street) will get power-hosed.

On July 22, the streets between Khan Kroum Street, Patriarh Evtimii Boulevard, Angel Kunchev and Zubcheto streets (excluding Khan Kroum and Angel Kunchev streets) will be washed.

Wednesday July 23 sees the cleaning of the streets in square formed by Khan Kroum Street, Patriarh Evtimii Boulevard, and Angel Kunchev, Solounska, Graf Ignatiev and Zubcheto streets (excluding Angel Kunchev, Solounska and Zubcheto streets).

The 24th foresees the washing down of the streets in the area surrounded by Vitosha Boulevard and Solounska, Graf Ignatiev and Alabin streets. It seems that, according to sofia.bg, on this day, Solounska will finally get clean.

July 25 has been marked for the cleaning of the streets in the area surrounded by Vitosha Boulevard, Leger Street, Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard (excluding the boulevard itself), Alabin Street (excluding the street itself) and Knyaz Dondoukov Boulevard.

The city would like to remind residents of and visitors to these areas that it is not permitted to park cars on the streets on the day of cleaning.
