On the second day of the fifth international wind-sailing regatta in Bulgaria's coastal town of Sveti Vlas, held from July 18 to 20 2008, races took off under better circumstances than the first day.
The wind that had only been mild on the first day of racing, had increased by Saturday.

The start on the second day was just before noon.

In the Conrad 25R class, which, with most participants this year should be the most heated competition, the first six places of day one were consolidated on day two. Mihail Kopanov and his crew from the municipal sailing club Nessebar 2000, were in lead, followed by the Quantum Racing boat of Pavel Bukov of the Pontos sailing club, with Sailing Club Cherno More Briz's Ivailo Angov in third place.

More movement was visible in the Melges 24 class, where the leader of day one, Philippe Rombaut could not maintain his position on day two. After the second day of racing, he was relegated to a second position, and his place was taken by Ivailo Gavrailov of yachting club KGG Port Varna.

Damyan Petkov of yacht club Port Bourgas was in the leas in the class under 29 feet, with fellow club member Petko Dimitrov and his team in the second place.

In the over 29 feet class, the top three did not change after the second day of racing.
Atanas Ivanov and his team from the Balchik sailing club were firmly in the lead, followed by Georgi Mihov from municipal sailing club Nessebar 2000 and Aleksandar Aleksandrov from YSC Nessebar.

On Sunday July 20, the closing races of the fifth international wind-sailing regatta in Sveti Vlas will be held. Races will again take place outside the Marina Dinevi in Sveti Vlas and will be visible from nearby beaches as the tracks are close to shore.
