Top Bulgarian chess player Vesselin Topalov ranked second in the Torneo Magistral de Leon chess tournament.
Indian chess master Viswanathan Anand won the title in the championship, Focus news agency reported.
Anand scored a 3:1 victory in four interesting and challenging matches.
Two of the opponents were Spanish and ended even. Topalov managed to take the lead in the first instance, but afterwards was defeated by Anand in the second two parties.
Topalov ended ranking higher than world champions Ponomariov and Kasimdzhanov.
