The economic programme of Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) was bluff and would lead to financial destabilisation, inflation increase and budget drain, if put into practise, Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev said during the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) national summit on September 25 2007.
According to Stanishev, BSP is a ruling party, which cannot afford to make promises, which are bluff, lies and which are abundantly spread recently.
People were waiting for a miracle, but such experiments were expensive, Stanishev said as quoted by mediapool.bg.
The PM said that CEDB is BSPs main rival in the upcoming municipal elections on October 28 2007. Behind the CEDB nominees ambitions were personal, economic or other interests.
New businesses and local parties would take part in the elections and would try to buy votes and to serve certain corporative interests.
Parties should tell people what was possible and what was not.
Stanishev said that he would oppose xenophobes, populism, demagogy and extreme nationalism. BSP would not lead a compromise war.
