CD promotes Bulgaria
02:00 Mon 25 Jul 2005 - Staff Reporter

THE Foreign Ministry has just released a new CD-ROM, complete with 3000 images, video footage and virtual tours of the country, to serve as a digital business card for the country.
The CD, which is so far the largest-ever digital presentation of Bulgaria, contains information about the country's culture and history as well as its contemporary progress.
With one click of the mouse the user will be taken on a virtual tour of the Boyana church, the ancient settlement of Perperikon, the picturesque town Koprivshtitsa, Melnik or the Rila Monastery.
It also provides a panoramic trip through the old capital Veliko Turnovo.
In an interview with BNT national TV channel the author of the CD Boyan Dobrev said the main message in the disc was that Bulgaria was a deserving country. “This message has to reach the people across the world as well as among us Bulgarians, because the images present the country by themselves,” he said.
The CD will be gradually upgraded and updated. The author's idea is that each section will become a separate CD.

Another request for a copy from the US - Lancaster, PA. It would be a great prequel to my home made version!

Hello, For the time being we are unable to provide further information about the purchase of the disk. We got the news from an official brief and this is all it revealed. Unfortunately the website of the ministry of foreign affairs does not feature any information about the disk. We contacted the author of the disk and hopefully a response will be given soon. Expect an update as soon as we get some additional information.
