The Council of Ministers approved the annex to the already signed agreement for Bulgaria’s Trakia highway project.

Regional Development Minister Assen Gagauzov said that he will examine all items listed in the annex, after which he will sign it.

Once signed, the agreement will be submitted for Eurostat approval. If the evaluation is positive, the agreement will be finally enforced by Cabinet.

Gagauzov said that the approval procedure would last up to three months.

Cabinet called for annex to the agreement already signed with the Portuguese-Bulgarian concessionaire selected to carry out the project.

Additional requirements included the removal of state guarantees for traffic and the maintenance of the initially approved construction price.
