Police considers business interests the most probable motive for the public murder of Boncho Zapryanov, committed on the evening of November 4 2007 in Sofia, Sofia deputy chief prosecutor Roman Vassilev said.
Zapryanov owned parts of several companies, including in a briquette factory, Vassilev said as quoted by mediapool.bg.
Vassilev refused to comment on some of the police versions and did not say whether the cameras of two nearby bank offices recorded the murder.
He also refused to say whether Zapryanov was threatened and how many cartridge-cases were found.
A passerby shot Zapryanov while he was getting out of his car. Zapryanov’s wife and child witnessed the murder, mediapool.bg said.
Interior Ministry said that Zapryanov had previous criminal record for document fraud in Velingrad.
