With every year, the business climate in Bulgaria has become increasingly better, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev told a round table of industrialists on July 7, Focus news agency reported.

If was not accidental that the World Bank put only Bulgaria, among European Union member states, in its ranking as one of the 10 world countries in terms of reforms and in first place concerning tax reforms, Stanishev said. According to him, this was an acknowledgement of the Government's success in improving the business climate in the country.

“Better, clearer and more predictable rules are needed for doing business and for the participation of the employers’ organisations in this process, including European companies, who have invested in the country,” Stanishev said. This was an important premise for the development of Bulgaria, he added.

The questions raised by the foreign investors during the roundtable, will be summarised by Stanishev’s economic advisor and will be considered during a future Government meeting, he added.
