According to the findings of a research by Alpha research, published on April 24, Bulgarians are almost unanimous in demanding radical changes in the country's politics. Most of the interviewed pointed out several areas that required reforms.
The interior ministry was pointed out as in need of reform by 92 per cent of those interviewed, the country's healthcare system needs reform according to 89 per cent and the Judiciary according to 82 per cent of respondents. Bulgaria's social policy needed to be reformed according to 81 per cent of the population.
Almost two-third of the adult population said that radical changes were needed in politics and governmental priorities.
The research was undertaken among 1000 people in the period of April 18-20 2008.
While 92 per cent said that a reform of the interior ministry was urgently needed, 59 per cent said they did not expect that to happen within the mandate of the current ruling coalition.
