Bulgarian wrestler Radosval Velikov won gold medal in the World Wrestling Championship in Guangzhou, China, Gong Radio reported.
Velikov won the gold in the up to 55 kg catogory of the free style discipline defeating Russian Boris Kuduhov, Gong said.
Velikov is a world and European vice champion in wrestling for 2005.
The wrestler worked at the Interior Ministry centre for military training. Bulgaria's Interior Minister Roumen Petkov ordered Velikov's promotion, Gong said. Velikov would also receive an award from the Interior Ministry.
An Olympic medal was Velikov's next goal, he told Gong.
