BULGARIAN SQUAD WELCOMES BERBATOV FOR EURO QUALIFIERS
11:24 Fri 31 Aug 2007

Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, who currently plays with the Tottenham Hotspurs, will return to the Bulgarian team for the Euro 2008 qualifiers.

The matches will take place on September 8 and September 12 2007, against the Netherlands and Luxembourg, respectively.

Due to a recent groin injury, Berbatov did not play in Bulgaria's friendly against Wales on August 16 2007, according to Reuters, as reported in Guardian Unlimited.

Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov, who is with Manchester City, also was benched after a knee injury during a Premier League win over Manchester United.

In Group G, Bulgaria ranks second with 15 points from seven matches. The team is two points behind Balkan rival Romania.
