On January 7, 2008 the Sofia branch of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) would open a dining-room for needy citizens, the BRC announced.
One-hundred people would be fed in the dining-room, Focus news agency said. Among them were lonely elderly people, sick and disabled people, homeless people and others, who are not being fed at other social kitchens.
The dining-room was located in Sofia's Ivan Vazov residential district, at 99 A Vitosha Boulevard, block 55.
The initiative was funded by the BRC and sponsors.
