Bulgarian reaches Wimbledon finals
21:42 Sat 05 Jul 2008 - Petar Kostadinov

Seventeen-year-old Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov is just a match away from becoming the first Bulgarian to win a Wimbledon trophy after reaching the final of the boy's singles tournament.

To get there, Dimitrov had to go trough Serbia's Filip Krajinovic at the semi-finals, something which Dimitrov achieved with style. He won in one hour and three minutes in a straight set win (6-3, 6-3).

In the final Dimitrov will face Finland's Henri Kontinen. Advancing to Wimbledon's final is beyond doubt the greatest success in Dimitrov's history and a historic win for Bulgarian tennis.

He will be the first ever Bulgaria to play in a Grand Slam single's final.
