BULGARIAN POLICE CELEBRATED ITS 128th ANNIVERSARY

Bulgarian police would celebrate on November 8 its 128th anniversary, Darik radio said.

Bulgarian police's professional holiday would begin at the Alexander Nevski square with the formations of the National Police Service (NSP) being greeted by its director, chief commissioner Valentin Petrov, and by the Interior Minister Roumen Petkov, Dnevnik daily said.

The parade would be attended by superior state employees, representatives of diplomatic missions and political parties, former directors of the Bulgarian National Police Service and directors of police services of EU member states, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia and Ukraine.

With much of the centre of Sofia being closed for traffic, the police parade was expected cause serious traffic problems in neighbourhoods around the centre.
