On November 16 Bulgaria's Parliament stripped the immunity of Ataka Member of Parliament Borislav Noev as requested by Prosecutor General Boris Velchev, mediapool.bg reported. This way a trial against him for drunk driving could be initiated.

On April 7 2007 Noev drove on the Hemus highway in the Devnya region with over 1.2 pro mille alcohol in his blood, Velchev said in his request.

Asked if he would assume the responsibility after being caught for alcohol abuse, Noev said he set an example by undergoing all tests without resistance.
