“I am very glad this patriotic axis that is being created between Lider, VMRO and Agrarian National Union is being seriously discussed in society,” energy tycoon and unofficial founder of the Lider party Hristo Kovachki told private broadcaster bTV's morning show. “The logic is that it enters into coalition with right-centrist parties,” he continued.

“As far as concrete ministers are concerned, I think they should be experts. We have been governed by politicians for a long time and we saw that politicians make mistakes,” Kovachki also said.

“Where it is majoritarian, there is the corruption,” sociologist Andrei Raichev told Bulgarian National Television morning show in a discussion for or against the majoritarian vote. “For now, Bulgaria does not have national oligarchy, but it will be taken ill with such,” he added.

“I have not have any ties either with the former, or with the current secret services,” Plamen Yuroukov, leader of the Union of Democratic Forces told Nova TV's morning show, answering allegations to that end that have appeared in Bulgarian media over the past days.
